Here we are in the park of @villapanza in Varese: a 33,000 square metre historic garden that is a treasure trove of biodiversity.

A worldwide known centre for contemporary art, Villa Panza dates back to the 18th century, when Marquis Paolo Antonio Menafoglio chose the top of Biumo Hill, in the city of Varese, as the ideal place to build his country residence.

Casa Laura houses the treasures that, over time, the husband and wife, Luigi Anton and Nera Laura, have collected. They created an original, personal, and very special art collection of around six thousand pieces of the highest workmanship. The collection includes Italian, European and Chinese furniture, porcelain, sculptures, majolica, silver and oriental antiques.

Casa Laura will be part of the itinerary of the forthcoming FAI UK Tour to the Italian Riviera & Genoa, from 13th to 17th September. If you want to know more about the tour, contact us at info@faiuk.org

@faiscuola - Here are a few snapshots of the visit of 100 students to Monte Fontana Secca, a @fondoambiente property in the Monte Grappa Massif.

The guided itinerary, which took place last month thanks to @fondoambiente and the Insilva group of experts, and which will be repeated next spring, led children and teenagers through the Alta Via degli Eroi (High Heroes' Route) to let them experience the mountain and raise their awareness of the issues of its repopulation and protection, biodiversity conservation and agroecology.

The project "The Monte Grappa Massif and Monte Fontana Secca, the mountain of the New Heroes. An environmental education itinerary among pastures, woods and trenches', is realised thanks to the support of the Fondazione Cariverona.
