FAI was forced to cut its spending forecasts drastically for this year because we were unable to raise funds in the Spring, due to the pandemic. Even so, our year-end losses will be 11 million euros. Despite suspending more than 90% of our restoration projects initially planned for 2020, the cost of essential restoration, plus maintenance of our assets, amounts to 6 million euros.

It is important to preserve our educational projects, along with maintaining and enhancing the places under our care, as well as ensuring the safety of our staff and visitors.

We can start again with a new vision

FAI can help Italy recover from the crisis by promoting its collective heritage of art and the natural world. By putting an increased emphasis on art and nature, FAI can make everyone more aware of the value of these resources, and together we can work towards a more sustainable future.

FAI is already committed to our cultural heritage, the environment and those who live in it, as well as managing its economic resources in the best way. Now more than ever our decisions are guided by responsible administration, which is why every contribution will be invested in the revival of the foundation, and of Italian heritage.
