Until mid-September 2026, FAI’s historic properties will remain open into the evening, inviting visitors to experience Italy’s cultural heritage in a completely new light. FAI Summer Evenings returns with a three-month programme of special events designed to transform every summer evening into a memorable, multisensory experience.

From north to south, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy extraordinary settings at sunset and after dark: from concerts among the ancient olive groves of Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples, to performances in the enchanting woodland beneath the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi; from open-air cinema in the largest private park of Bergamo Alta to stargazing on the Night of San Lorenzo at a medieval castle.

The programme offers countless opportunities to slow down and reconnect with Italy’s remarkable cultural and natural heritage. Literary and musical aperitifs, picnics, candlelit visits, sunset walks, astronomical observations, yoga sessions, outdoor cinema, storytelling for children, concerts and theatrical performances create unforgettable evenings that engage all the senses.

Villa Rezzola

Among the participating FAI properties this year is, for the first time, Villa Rezzola in Lerici, overlooking the Gulf of Poets. From 10 July to 18 September, visitors will be able to enjoy special sunset tours through the villa’s magnificent English garden, followed by tastings of local wines, herbal liqueurs and iced teas on the panoramic terrace.

Ars Sonora at Villa Panza

The season concludes on 19 September with Ars Sonora at Villa Panza in Varese, an immersive day-long festival where music animates both the villa’s interiors and its gardens, creating a dialogue between the permanent collection and contemporary sound art.

Beginning with a dawn cello concert in the park, the programme continues throughout the day with live sound installations, children’s workshops, guided tours and DJ sets, before culminating in a sunset performance by Lino Capra Vaccina.
