Milan has been enriched with two new House Museums and two new Collections that were recently donated to FAI: Casa Crespi and Collezione Bagutta and Casa Livio and Collezione Grandi tell family stories and an unprecedented cross-section of Milanese society and culture.

Since 6 July 2023 until 7 January 2024, after ten years since the last edition, FAI is hosting an exhibition of unpublished photographs that reveal the deep connection between the great photographer Gianni Berengo Gardin and the Borgo di San Fruttuoso.

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October 2023 sees the return of the great event dedicated to Italy’s cultural heritage and landscape with the exceptional opening of over 700 inaccessible or little-known sites in 360 cities all over Italy.

The month that ushers in the autumn is ideal for enjoying the charms of this season with events, exhibitions and walks through FAI properties, immersing yourself in the warm colours of special places, fulcrums of balance between man and nature.

After three years of restoration, starting in November the 17th-century palace in the heart of Bergamo will finally be open to visitors in its entirety.

We also do our part. Global challenges such as climate change, the spread of pandemics, and the loss of biodiversity at an unprecedented rate are clearly telling us that the time has come to fundamentally rethink our relationship with nature. This is even more important in our country, where Nature and History have co-evolved so strongly that it is our own cultural model that needs to be redesigned.
