After these difficult years, we are now very happy to be resuming our travel programme and invite you to join us on a tour to our beloved Italy from the 20th to the 23rd of October!

We will discover the lively city of Milan with its exquisite galleries and world-renowned works of art. We will also visit Bergamo, a little-known city, home to many important historical sites and collections, and which will be the Italian capital of culture in 2023.

Did you know that there are some flowers and herbs with which you can create the perfect habitat for butterflies?

🦋Echinacea, ornamental sage, wild fennel and rue are just a few species that produce a lot of nectar and attract pollinating insects.

We have chosen them for @palazzomoronibergamo, which as well as being an oasis of peace for our visitors has become a refuge for bees, bumblebees and butterflies.

✍️The landscape restoration of the Palazzo's historic Park and Gardens in the heart of the "Città Alta" is just one of the activities carried out thanks to the 5x1000 that many have chosen to donate to @fondoambiente.

💚A new restoration site gets underway!

Work has begun on the frescoes in Chiesa rupestre di San Nicolò Inferiore in Modica (RG).
Classified in 6th place in the last edition of "I Luoghi del Cuore"(Italian Places I Love), the church is one of the most significant examples of the Sicilian Middle Ages.
The restoration project is being carried out thanks to a contribution made available by @fondoambiente and Intesa Sanpaolo and represents a valuable step towards bringing to light an important example of Byzantine rock architecture.

THE COLOURS OF FAI - GREEN | Today we take you on a journey through the green landscapes and gardens of @fondoambiente properties.

In the garden of @palazzomoronibergamo a flower announces the good season, @boscodisanfrancesco offers an unusual viewpoint from which to look at the land art work it houses and the nature that surrounds it.

We can observe the geometric shapes of @villapanza park and the terraces of @baiadiieranto, walk along the paths of @parcovillagregoriana, look up at the monumental trees of the @igigantidellasila nature reserve or stop in the loggia of @villadeivescovi.

Yesterday evening @giardinodellakolymbethra was broadcast in primetime on Rai1 (major Italian TV channel) and was admired by more than 5 million people!

The @fondoambiente property in Agrigento provided the setting and gave its name to the first episode of the successful TV series "Makari", now in its second season.
The filming of the episode "The Crime of Kolymbethra" took place last November: actors, cameramen and the whole crew were able to wander among the ancient olive and citrus trees, walking under the warm autumn sun of Sicily.

For many years @fondoambiente, thanks to the surve

For many years @fondoambiente, thanks to the survey of the "Places I Love", and together with institutions and associations, has been committed to protecting and safeguarding the integrity of Scala dei Turchi, a place of rare beauty but unfortunately also fragile.

Only a few days ago, the latest act of vandalism was the soiling with iron oxide powder, which was promptly cleaned up by technicians and volunteers from the municipality of Realmonte. The news was picked up by @nytimes on 13 January, underlining the immediate commitment of institutions and civil society to erase the defacement, with an interview with Giuseppe Taibi, @fai_agrigento Leader and former President of @fai_sicilia.
